Clermont County Children’s Protective Services is asking voters for their continued support on Nov. 2. The .8 mill levy will be a renewal and will not increase taxes.

The levy raises $3.6 million annually and is used to support children who have been removed from their homes by court order. The funds help with placement, clothing, medications, and other needs for the children. The levy funds just over a third of the child placement program’s $10 million annual budget. The remainder is funded through state and federal funds.

The child placement program serves between 300 and 320 children at a time and averages 1,600 children per year. About 5,000 children received services from Children’s Protective Services last year.
