Eight members of the Gymnastics Central team competed in the American Amateur Union (AAU) Junior Olympics and returned home to Clermont County and its Batavia facility with many medals and much additional respect.
There were an estimated 600 competitors in the national championships.
The Clermont countians returned from the national championships that took place at Virginia Beach, Va., with a total of 23 medals (seven gold, six silver, four bronze, and six of other distinction).
