State Rep. and Marine Colonel Danny Bubp (R-West Union) this week was awarded the 2010 National Medal of Civic Honor.
The award recognizes legislators and legislative staff who not only served in their state legislatures but also served their country in Iraq or Afghanistan.
“It is a great honor and a very humbling experience to receive this medal,” Bubp said. “It was a privilege to serve in Anbar Province, Iraq and to assist the Iraqi governor by working closely with the U.S. Marine Corps and serving the people of Iraq.”
