The Bethel Police Department is working with the FBI to investigate the robbery at the Key Bank on East Plane Street.

Police Chief Mark Planck confirmed Monday afternoon that the bank had been robbed at 10:30 a.m. Monday morning.He said a black male entered the bank and handed the teller a written note asking for $100 and $50 bills. No weapons were used. Planck declined to discuss further details of the ongoing investigation.

The bank was closed until about 2 p.m. Monday when an armored car delivered additional funds to the bank.

Authorities with the bank declined to comment on the incident.
