A man is being held with out bail in the death of his two year old stepson Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, an EMS squad and Bethel Police Officers responded to a West Plane Street apartment just before 1 p.m. June 1 for an unresponsive child.

Krystle Hoskins, 24, initially told responders her 2-year-old son Jerry Wells had fallen down a set of stairs when he went to use the restroom. Wells was flown by AirCare to Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati where he was pronounced dead.
