Wanda J. Willis Boettcher, 85, of Collinsville, Ill., died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in Maryville, Ill. She was born Oct. 28, 1924 in Coal Grove, Ohio, the daughter of Ether D. and Jessie Mae Rosebrough Willis.

She was a devoted Christian and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Troy. Mrs. Boettcher enjoyed working crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She and her husband traveled together and visited all 50 states. During World War II she was a Naval inspector in Huntington, W. Va.

Mrs. Boettcher was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert R. Boettcher Sr. and one daughter, Brenda Floyd.

She is survived by one son, Robert R. (Sandra) Boettcher Jr.; one brother, James Willis; six grandchildren, Erica Tabler, Ryan Boettcher, Lisa Millhouse, Steve Floyd, Tony Meyer and Kristy Gutreuter; 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services were held March 14 at Evans Funeral Home in Milford.

Interment at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church in Troy.
