A program to help middle class Clermont County residents become homeowners is underway and grant coordinator Jim Taylor says that the response to the program has been slow in coming.

“I think most people just think the program is too good to be true,” said Taylor. “This program is for someone who can afford a mortgage, but they just can’t seem to get the money ahead for the down payment.”

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program is funded by a $1.4 million grant from the Ohio Department of of Development’s Community Development Division and is set up to help middle class working families become homeowners.
