The Clermont County Transportation Improvement District received word Nov. 30 that it will receive $500,000 in roadwork development grants for fiscal years 2010 and 2011. This money will help support the management of public roadwork improvements within the district.

“This grant is for $250,000 a year and this is the second time we have received this grant money,” said Steve Wharton, secretary-treasurer for the CCTID. “The money will be used as a reimbursement for money that we have already spent on the TID projects.”

The Transportation Improvement District received the same grant for 2008/2009 roadwork. The district submitted a list of 15 road projects in various stages throughout the county to the State Controlling Board for approval.
