Merchants National Bank of Batavia President Paul Pence welcomed community leaders to the bank Tuesday, Nov. 10 to celebrate the merger of the Citizens Bank of Higginsport with Merchants National Bank. The bank is located 2033 Hospital Drive in Batavia.
“I want to thank all of you for coming to help us celebrate the merger,” said Pence. “We are a real community bank and have used that phrase as our description for 15 years. We are local people, making local decisions. Our bank is committed to the community we serve.”
Pence noted that the bank is a high-performing bank which has been run in a financially responsible way for years.
