With the resignation of Andrew Parker, the village of Amelia’s clerk-treasurer, council has appointed Bill Gilpin as acting fiscal officer.
Gilpin has been authorized by the State of Ohio to perform the duties of clerk-treasurer. He will be filling in on an as-needed basis until a fiscal officer is hired for the position.
Gilpin presented several financial statements to council members, including a breakdown of the budget from 2004 to 2009. He noted that a reconciliation with bank statements showed an error of $2,400.
