With the passage of the state budget Friday, July 17, the Clermont County Department of Job and Family Services stands to lose an additional $2.4 million in funding.

At a time when more families than ever are in need of the services they provide, the agency is finding it more difficult to meet those needs.

“Based on statewide estimates we stand to lose about $2.4 million in operating costs at a time when we are going through the worst economic crisis since the great depression,” DJFS director Tim McCartney said.
