Rita May Jarman, 89, died Friday, July 3, 2009, in her residence. She was born May 17, 1920, in San Francisco, Calif., the daughter of Alexander and Mary Waldman.

Mrs. Jarman served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. After marrying Dwight Essex Jarman, she moved to the Ohio valley in 1946. She worked at the Clermont County Library for more than 20 years.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Costa.

She is survived by four sons, Buck (Mary Jo) Jarman, James (Sandy) Jarman, Paul (Mary Ann) Jarman and Timothy (Kathy) Jarman; five daughters, Caroline (Clifford) Stocks, Virginia King, Dorothy (Jerry) Snider, Jody (Tim) Rudd and Mary (Mark) Hatfield; 12 grandchildren, Brandon Snider, Jessica Stocks-Haselkorn, Amanda Snider-Layman, Andrew Stocks, Brad Hatfield, Stephen, Nathan and Ian Jarman; Jeremy Hatfield, Alex and Katie Jarman and Ethan Rudd; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial was held July 7, at St. Mary Church, in Bethel.

Interment at Neville-Vesper Cemetery.
