On Aug. 2, 1790, a total of 650 enumerators counted 3,929,214 United States residents in 13 states during the first US census. Their report was little more than a head count, but it began a process that has continued every 10 years since 1790. On April 1, 2010, the U. S. Census Bureau will be responsible for the decennial census and they are currently seeking managers to oversee the operation in Clermont County.

“As this nation’s unemployment numbers continuously rise, it is important to note that there is a reason for hope,” said Susan Hack, recruitment coordinator for the U.S. Census Bureau. “Currently, the Census Bureau is seeking experienced managers for the Milford office that will be opening in the fall.”
