The sights and sounds of Frontier Days were back this week in Milford.   The 47th annual celebration ran Thursday through Sunday on the grounds of Post 450 of the American Legion.

Attendees were greeted with a small midway with rides and games.  Food booths offering everything from hamburgers to desserts were also available to tempt those walking by.

Some of the events included a three-on-three basketball competition, lawn mower races and frog jumping.  Seventy-six-year-old Wayne Florea has been involved with Frontier Days since they began back in 1962.  He says the celebration began when Milford residents wanted to be part of an annual canoe race on the nearby Little Miami River.
