Batavia and New Richmond’s squads have enjoyed the most success of late in Clermont County’s high school varsity baseball campaign.

Batavia

The Bulldogs beat Amelia 11-3 in a non-conference fray. Eric Roberts was the winning pitcher and helped himself by getting two hits. He was assisted by David Lenhardt’s three hits and two apiece from J. D. Little and Korey Eads. The Barons’ Ben Kasten had three hits.

Georgetown went down in five innings 10-0. Zach Heber was the winning moundman who struck out eight of the G-Men in this Southern Buckeye Conference National Division game. Powering the winning offense was Kris Hecktor and Ryan Anstaett with four hits apiece, Lenhardt and Roberts with three apiece, and Joey Wahl with two.
