Williamsburg Village Administrator Patti Bates gave council members an update on the progress of a property located 322 Broadway Street at the council meeting on Thursday, March 26.

The house was damaged by fire shortly after the owners declared bankruptcy. The bank that owned the property had not been notified that there was no insurance on the property. Village solicitor Dexter Bastin reported that the bank does not want to take possession of the house. At a meeting earlier this month, Bates requested that council approve the demolition of the property for safety reasons.
