The newly formed Greater Milford Events and Arts Council is ready to help organizers coordinate events and programs and assist in scheduling and hosting new events and programs in the Milford area.

“There are so many overlapping events in the greater Milford area, the council wants to make it easier for organizers to get their events set up,” said Connie Hunter, chairman. “The council is setting up a volunteer pool to help work during the events and we can help organizers get permits or block streets if needed. We can offer support to any event that comes to Milford. We want to help them have a successful event.”

The council has 18 charter members and they are seeking more charter members; sponsors, both businesses and individuals; volunteers and volunteer teams. The group will be electing officers soon.
