Kenneth P. Anstaett, 84, of Batavia, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009.

Mr. Anstaett served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force and was the business owner of Anstaett Farm Service, Anstaett Brothers Oil and Anstaett Dodge for more than 50 years.

He had served as president of the Batavia School Board, president of the Batavia Rotary, was a member of the American Legion Post 237, member of Batavia VFW and was active in the Clermont County Republican Party.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Marilou Idlett.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Paff Anstaett; one son, Jerry (Vickie) Anstaett; three daughters, Connie (Danny) Bare, Sandy (Jim) McElroy and Sherry (Dennis) Wells; three brothers, Albert, Zennie and Tom; seven grandchildren, Ryan and Brandon Anstaett, Kenny and Kevin McElroy, Kelly Kellerman, Deanna Steiner and Scott Wells; eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Feb. 16, at Batavia Faith United Methodist Church.

Interment at Batavia Union Cemetery.
