The busiest boat ramps in Clermont County, located at East Fork State Park and Stonelick State Park, recently had kiosks installed to teach boaters ways to protect Ohio waterways.

Grant money in the amount of $2,000 has been awarded to projects that teach boaters “greener” habitats, including reducing the amount of debris that ends up in area waterways, educating boaters about aquatic nuisance species, clean fueling techniques and boat pump outs.

The Little Miami River Partnership and East Fork Watershed Collaborative achieved their joint mission to “raise awareness by educating boaters about marine debris and its effect on local water resources.”
