The Williamsburg Village Council held a public hearing before its business meeting Thursday, Jan. 22 to hear a presentation for a proposed senior housing complex being planned for 6.8 acres of land located at Willow and Third streets in Williamsburg.

The presenter, attorney T. David Burgess, focused on the need for such a complex within the village as the area prepares for an older population.

“This project addresses a need for the aging of the population,” said Burgess. “With baby boomers coming of age, there is a need for senior housing. In Clermont County there are 21,000 seniors and in 20 years that number is expected to grow to 40,000.”
