Clermont County’s varsity wrestling teams are boring ahead through the teeth of winter with success being enjoyed by most.

Madeira Invitational

Goshen earned three individual weight class championships in the Madeira Wrestling Invitational.

Billy Combs, a freshman, won the 112-pound crown, Chaz Gresham, a freshman, won at 135, and Aaron Walker, a sophomore, won at 140. Batavia junior Jeff Elam won a fourth title for Clermont County in the 215-pound class.

Teamwise, Reading’s Blue Devils won the 19-team tourney with 191 points. The county schools all finished among the top one-half. Goshen was fourth with 139.5 points, Batavia was fifth with 135, and Clermont Northeastern was eighth with 92.5.
