The West Clermont School District has plans to break ground for two new elementary schools Friday, Jan. 16. They will break ground 1 p.m. for Amelia Elementary and 2:30 p.m. for Withamsville-Tobasco Elementary.

The buildings to be replaced were both built during the 1930s and are two of the oldest buildings in the district.

After four times on the ballot, voters approved a $30 million bond issue in November 2007 to construct the new schools.
