Amelia council members discussed various amendments and wording for the rules of council at their regular meeting Jan. 5.
Councilman Derrick Campbell and councilwoman Pam Troxell had reviewed the rules and offered a suggestion to correct the wording regarding council members receiving their packets of information relating to upcoming council meetings.
Council voted to add a caveat to the language to allow for unforeseen circumstances causing a delay in receiving the packets.
