The Village of New Richmond Fire and EMS Departments are will receive $115,076 in funds from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency according to U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio.
The village of New Richmond has applied numerous times for Assistance to Firefighters Grants which uses federal money for operations and safety updates, but this is the first time they have been selected.
“Our first responders put their lives on the line every day across Ohio,” said Brown. “These funds ensure that firefighters in the Cincinnati area have the resources they need to perform their jobs safely.”
