Joe Ammerman of Amelia has been keeping pace in an incredibly fast-growing sport in both participants and fans. All the numbers continue to increase – competitors, viewers, and Ammerman’s victory total.
Ammerman, a 1993 graduate of Amelia High School, has always been a dedicated athlete and successful during his prep career in football, basketball, and track and field. His dad, Dave (Amelia class of ’71), and his uncles Mike ’68, Roger ’73, Phil ’77, and Sam ’80 were also outstanding athletes.
