The Southwest Ohio Veterans Bike Show was a terrific success, according to organizers.

Held all day at the Clermont County Fairgrounds Aug. 24 and attracting an estimated 2,000 people, the first annual bike show was sponsored by the Clermont County Veterans of America (CCCVA) Chapter 649 and the Ohio National Guard, in cooperation with the Clermont County Veteran’s Service Office.

Of the 2,000 people who attended, 1,000 of those were riding their motorcycles.

“The event was a success,” said Clermont County Veteran’s Services Director Dan Bare. “Knowing that anytime you have a first event like this – it must be set up the right way and promoted the right way, which we felt we accomplished. So all in all, we feel that this thing has legs.”
