With pastry creations simmering in her head, CNE High School graduate Megan Burdsall received a $500 scholarship from the Clermont County Fair Board July 22.

Junior Fair exhibitor Burdsall, 18, hopes that the scholarship, which is named after Fair Board friend Ceil Bee, will help make her realize her dreams of becoming a pastry chef a “little easier.”

Only the second year for the scholarship, the $500 was raised from the pie and cake auction that is held at the fair every year; she was awarded the scholarship during last week’s auction on the fairgrounds.

“I am absolutely excited,” Burdsall said after receiving the check. “This will be a big help with my college tuition.”
