Clermont County fugitive Chris Crosby has been captured.

On the run from law enforcement for many weeks, Crosby, 25, was finally apprehended on state Route 132 and Lucy Run Road in Batavia Township at 1:30 p.m. July 26.

The two hour pursuit that led to the tracking down and apprehension of Crosby began when a citizen called 911 after spotting him in a wooded area on State Route 132 by the Holly Hill School in Batavia Township.

The Clermont County Sheriff’s Department, who was first on the scene, is reporting that a sheriff’s deputy found the fugitive in a makeshift campsite with a shotgun next to him on the ground loaded with deer slugs.
