Robert Farrell is the new superintendent of the Milford Exempted Village School District.

“I want to thank the school board and the citizens of Milford for the opportunity to serve the students of the Milford Exempted School District,” Farrell said. “I am looking forward to being the permanent superintendent of the Milford School District.”

The Milford School Board of Education voted to hire Farrell, 54, in its June 4 regular meeting; the only dissenting vote was from board member David Yockey.

Board president Debbie Marques said that community trust in his abilities, with many received supportive e-mails, and his fiscal conservatism were two of the reasons Farrell was hired to be the new permanent superintendent.
