Clermont County high school varsity tennis season has come to an end. In the closing regular season matches New Richmond and Batavia came through with a pair of victories.

New Richmond

The Lions bounced Bethel-Tate 4-1 in a Southern Buckeye Conference American Division fray. The victorious players in Red and Black were Tyler Esham (first singles) 6-2, 6-2, Ethan Johnson (second singles) 6-2, 6-0, Daniel Heflin (third singles) 6-3, 3-6, 6-1, and Kyle Frizzell and Caleb Theiss (first doubles) 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. The winner in Red and Gray was Josh Hallgath and Tyler Hess (second doubles) 7-5, 7-6 (8-6).

In yet another Southern Buckeye Conference American Division battle, New Richmond knocked off Goshen 4-1. The triumphant Lions were Esham (first singles) 6-1, 6-1, Johnson (second singles) 6-3, 6-1, Heflin (third singles) 6-1, 6-0, and Nick Groman and Eric Hays (second doubles) 6-2, 6-0. Winning for the Warriors was Josh Kincaid and Ryan Reese (first doubles) 6-4, 6-2.

New Richmond was skimmed by Western Brown’s Broncos 3-2 in the Southern Buckeye Conference American Division. Johnson (second singles) 6-4, 6-4 and Heflin (third singles) 6-2, 6-4 were the winning Clermont countians.
