The West Clermont Local School District will be displaying some preliminary drawings that will give the public an idea just what two new elementary floor plans will look like.

The drawings will be on display at 6 p.m. Monday, April 14 in the Union Township Civic Center prior to the West Clermont Board of Education meeting. This will also allow a time for public input.

With the approval of a bond issue last year, the district is moving ahead with plans to replace the two oldest school buildings: Amelia Elementary and Withamsville-Tobasco Elementary. These structures were built in 1932 and 1936 respectively.

Ed Dyer, director of operations for West Clermont Schools, said that the buildings themselves are basically sound, but shaky when it comes to providing a good educational environment.
