More than 300 people attended the Fine Arts Sampler weekend that was held at U.C. Clermont College Feb. 9.

“The event went very well,” said Nikki Vargas, U.C. Clermont program coordinator for arts and events. “People told us throughout the day that they really enjoyed the activities and thanked us for offering the arts sampler. There was really something for everyone.”

Sponsored by Macy’s, the Fine Arts Sampler Weekend is greater Cincinnati’s largest free arts festival; this is the seventh year that U.C. Clermont has participated in the event.

The seven family-friendly events that were offered included an art tribute to Claude Monet by art students at the Clough Pike Elementary School, the creation of personal squares for a community quilt project, an art treasure hunt for kids, a valentine workshop, performances by the West Clermont Dance Company and the Blue Chip Jazz Band (presented by the Clermont Philharmonic Orchestra), and some Harry Potter activities, presented by Kingsbury Productions.
