Dale Robert Dawson, 77, died Feb. 8, 2008.
He was preceded in death by step-son, Terry Swiger; step-daughter, Paula Ward; and brother, Joseph Dawson.
He is survived by wife, Doris (Nee Leftwich) Dawson; daughter, Peggy Bruist; step-children, Jim Swiger, Lonnie Frye, Lillian Bolender, Delilah Knause, and William Leftwich; grandchildren, Stacey Holcombe and Melissa Thompson; great-grandchildren, Charles Dale Holcombe and Matthew Thompson; and sister, Hazel Deane Jones.
Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at the Amelia Church of the Nazarene.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and the E.C. Nurre Funeral Home is serving the needs of the family.
