Joseph R. Sloan, 35, of Union Township, died Oct. 30, 2007. He was a self-employed painter.
He was preceded in death by father, Othar Larry Sloan Jr.; niece, Shaunta Cox; nephew, Cody Cox; and cousin, James Payne.
He is survived by mother, Jalena (nee Hargis) Sloan; wife, Gina (nee Watkins) Sloan; step-son, Jerry Florence; step-daughters, Whitney and Leah Highley; brother, Othar Larry (Lee Ann) Sloan Jr.; sisters, Malena (Lindsey) Cox and Angelea (Randall) Sloan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Graveside funeral services and burial were held Nov. 3 at the Neeleys Creek Cemetery in Somerset, Ky.
Memorials may be made to the Evans Funeral Home which is serving the needs of the family.
