Spring break is over and the rain and cold is not nearly as prevalent allowing Clermont County high school varsity fast pitch softball teams to get it into gear once again.

Williamsburg

The Wildcats’ offense erupted to beat Bethel-Tate 8-1 in a Southern Buckeye Conference National Division contest. Heather Brown was the winning pitcher and Hanah Rinehart took the loss. Theresa Centers, Jill Ridener, and Becky Taggert had two hits each for the victors and Rachel Johnson and Shena Stayden did the same for the vanquished.

Clermont Northeastern

The Rockets rid themselves of New Richmond 3-1 in a Southern Buckeye Conference American Division showdown. Erin Connor fired the Blue and Gold to victory on the mound by surrendering just three hits and fanning 10 of the Red and Black. Michelle Sweet gave up just three hits in a well-pitched loss, but the Lions committed four errors, defensively.
