Athel Wayne Stephens, 70, of Bethel, died April 5, 2007. He was born on Jan. 3, 1937, in Russell Springs, KY. He was a retired carpenter from Local Union #2.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ores and Bessie Stephens; and brothers, Danny and Lonnie Stephens.
He is survived by wife, Geraldine (nee Schwab) Stephens; sons, Terry (Elaine), Tony (Nancy); daughters, Cindy Moler, Christina (Nick), and Betty Stephens; son-in-law, Nick Chilelli; sister, Yvonne Qualls; brothers, Denzil and Eddie Stephens; and grandchildren, Ryan Stephens, Sara Moler, and Alex and Collin Chilelli.
Funeral services were held April 7 at the Kennedy-Stevens Funeral Home in Bethel. Burial followed at the Tate Township Cemetery.
