Lions’ Kramer leads large pool of district swimmers

Clermont countians turned in respectable performances in their respective sectional swimming meets.

Division I Boys

New Richmond senior Nate Kramer was the pacesetter for the county in the Division I Sectional and all sectionals, both boys and girls, with two first place finishes. He won the 200-yard freestyle in 1-minute, 44.55-seconds and the 500 free in 4:45.10.

The Boys Division I Sectional took place at Mason High School, the host Comets were the champions in the 23-team field with 446 points. Milford finished fifth with 164 points, New Richmond was 12th with 44, Glen Este, 20th, 12, and Amelia, 21st, 6.

One-meter diving: Ryan Cushenan of Milford, ninth, 239.5 points, and Kyle Petrosky of Milford, 10th, 227.6.

200 medley relay: Milford (Mark Fernandez, Elliott Keefer, Kyle Stone, and Luke Wasserman), fourth, 1:41.89, and New Richmond (Troy Tucker, Chris Werle, Kramer, and Alex Lewis), 15th, 2:03.94.

200 free: Kramer, and Kevin Metzger of Milford, 15th, 1:53.64.
