Elmer Johnson, 85, of Bethel, died Feb. 13, 2007. He was born on April 29, 1921, in Irvine, Ky. He was a WWII Army veteran and a machinist for Allis Chalmers.

He was preceded in death by parents, Clark and Sally (nee Kindred) Johnson; sisters, Lillian Hess and Lora Johnson; brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, and Willard Johnson.

He is survived by wife, Wilma (nee Smith); daughters, Judy (Tim) Jones, Jackie (Greg) Murphy, Jeanette (Kenny McCart) Johnson, and Connee (Edwin) Fiscus; son, Jeff (Priscilla) Johnson; sister, Zelma Louderback; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Feb. 17 at the Kennedy-Stevens Funeral Home in Bethel. Burial followed at the Tate Township Cemetery in Bethel.
