The Owensville Police Department has received an $800 grant from Dualite.
According to Police Chief Paul Sturgill, Dualite president Frank Schube donates a generous grant to the village police department every year.
“This year, Mr. Schube presented the $800 check to us on Dec. 22,” Sturgill said. “Village police officer Dwight Day accepted the check on behalf of the department. We are extremely grateful and thankful for the grant money that we receive from Dualite every year. The generosity of Dualite is to be commended; the department will greatly benefit from this money.”
Sturgill said that the funds will be used to purchase officer safety equipment for the village.
