Milford remains the dominant force among Clermont County’s high school varsity wrestling teams, but most recently Bethel-Tate stepped to the forefront with a tournament triumph of its own.

Bethel-Tate’s Fighting Tigers earned the championship of the Middletown Fenwick Iron Falcon Invitational.

The members of the Red and Gray earning individual weight class championships were Cory Disbennett (130-pounds), Sean Adams (152), E. J. Craycraft (171), and Jacob Lasley (285). A second place finisher was Zack Ward (160). Graham Rose gained third place, Roger Boucher (171) placed fourth, and Drew Napier and Dustin Davidson finished fifth.

Milford

Milford’s Eagles paced Clermont County in the annual prestigious Southwest Ohio Wrestling Coaches Association Holiday Classic that took place at Oak Hills High School. The Eagles were eighth among the 30 teams with a total of 98 points, Glen Este was 17th with 54.5, and Batavia was 26th with 22. Moeller was the team titlist with 269 points.
