James W. Helton, 84, of Milford, died Dec. 6, 2006. He was an instrumentation specialist in the education profession.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Helton and Ida Ledford; daughter, Joyce Ascherfeld; two brothers; and two sisters.
He is survived by daughter, Sandra Brandenburg; son, James G. Helton; brothers, Castor and Jack Helton; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Dec. 9 at the Evans Funeral Home in Milford. Interment followed at the Arlington Memorial Gardens in Mt. Healthy.
