Clermont County Sheriff A.J. “Tim” Rodenberg has reported that a bomb threat was received before school started Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Clermont Northeastern Middle School.

According to Rodenberg, a note stating that there was a bomb set to explode at 8:30 a.m. in the building was found outside the front entry area of the building in the 5400 block of Newtonsville Hutchinson Road.

The building was evacuated and the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office secured the area. Deputies and bomb personnel, including a bomb dog, searched the building but did not find an explosive device.

Rodenberg says that there are no suspects at this time but that the investigation is continuing.
