James C. Thornberry, 90, of Bethel, died Oct. 20, 2006. He was born on Aug. 31, 1916 in Sandy Hook, Ky. He was an assembler for the Ford Motor Company and a WWII Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L. Cecil and Minnie (nee Howard) Thornberry; son, Calvin; sister, and Dawn Frazier Counts.

He is survived by daughter, Mary Thornberry; son, Mark; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held Oct. 25 at the Kennedy-Stevens Funeral Home. Pastor Bill Bowdle officiated. Burial followed at the Tate Township Cemetery in Bethel.
