Goshen and Felicity girls soccer atop the SBC

Goshen’s varsity girls soccer team is 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Southern Buckeye Conference American Division.

“I’m not surprised at all how well we’re doing,” said head coach Karen Stasiowski. “We have a lot of good players who have good skills and good potential. I expected us to have a good year.”

Junior forward Staci Hicks has nine goals to lead the offense. Junior center midfielder Kim Steele, sophomore forward Jordan Buchanan, junior forward Holly Henderson, and senior midfielder Kristin Lehnert have also been outstanding on offense.

Sophomore center midfielder Brooke Whitley and junior center fullback Anna Foote have been defensive leaders.

“They’re putting it all together. I expect the team to be good in the future. We have a big junior class,” Stasiowski concluded.
