Woodrow W. Hamilton, 93, of Batavia, died July 28. He was born on Nov. 2, 1912 in Alma, W.V.

He served for 30 years as the agricultural extension agent in Clermont County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Caleb Columbus and Susan Riggs Hamilton; first wife, Ruby Roberts; second wife, Virginia Spencer Pettit; three sisters; and two brothers.

He is survived by son, James S. (Mary); daughter, M. Susan; grandsons, Michael J. Hamilton and Joshua Sternstein; grandaughter, Rebecca Poff; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Zane, Evan Graham, and Elisha James Poff.

Funeral services were held July 31 at the First Presbyterian Church in Batavia. Burial followed at the Batavia Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the Ruby Roberts Hamilton Scholarship Fund at Batavia High School.
