Five Batavia residents will each seek a spot on the Batavia Local School District board of education this November, each putting their best foot forward to earn one of the three spots available. One veteran will try to retain his seat, while four newcomers will each present themselves to the voters to earn their support for the board race.

Scott Runck, making his first attempt to run for the school board, said that he has a lot of qualifications for the position, including having children in the system and the experience of running a business within the village.
